The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Regensburg and the University Hospital Regensburg offer seven positions as
PHYSICIANS (male/female/diverse)
The "Else Kröner-Research College Regensburg - Interdisciplinary Translational Immuno-Oncology", financed by the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation since 2017, will offer up to seven positions for physicians from 01.01.2021 onwards for a structured, clinically and scientifically oriented interdisciplinary training programme in the field of immuno-oncology and related areas (e.g., surgery, dermatology, otolaryngology, internal medicine, microbiology, neurology, nuclear medicine, pathology, dentistry) while pursuing their residency.

Over the course of an 18-month clinical leave for research activities, these physicians will define their own research projects with the support of experienced scientists and distinguish themselves as Clinician Scientists. The program duration is 3 years, though extensions for the purpose of completing specialty training or habilitating are possible.
  • Degree in human medicine or dentistry with above-average academic performance and German medical license
  • Completed medical dissertation, preferably in experimental medicine
  • At the start or in the process of completing specialist medical training
  • Enthusiasm for scientific work and innovative diagnostics and therapy
  • Preceding research stay at a foreign university desirable
We offer

  • Compulsory admission to a graduate school for the acquisition of a doctorate in natural sciences or biomedicine
